- Currently Women’s Rowing is an Emerging NCAA sport
- Currently Men’s Rowing is considered a club sport
- 125+ university Womens rowing programs across the NCAA
- 60+ university Mens club rowing programs
- Team National Championship Season – Spring Semester – January-May
- On average 20 meets during school year
- Variety of programs to suit all skill levels and educational goals

Mens Rowing
Average Squad Size – 45+ athletes
NCAA
- Division I, II and III programs compete together
- Compete in Heavyweight & Lightweight divisions
- Although not an NCAA sponsored sport they do follow many of the NCAA initial eligibility requirements
- To earn 4 years of competition need to enrol prior to 20th birthday
Womens Rowing
Average Squad Size – 40 athletes (Division I), 20+ athletes (Division II & III)
NCAA – Equivalency Scholarships
Division I – 75+ Universities – 20.0 scholarships
Division II – 15+ University Programs – 20.0 scholarships *
Division III – 40+ University Programs – need based aid
DEF’N – Equivalency – % of scholarship received by SA determined by coach/school; unlimited number of SA’s can receive scholarship with the total added together to not exceed the limit for that sport
